DACA Renewals

We have all been looking forward to the chance to file our DACA renewals for our clients.  It looks like the new I-821D forms are up and ready for use.  Be sure to use the most recent form, published on June 4, 2014.  The filing fees are the same as before, $465.  USCIS is advising to file no later than 120 days and no more than 150 days before the original I-797 expires.  We have been advised that any application filed more than 150 days prior to the original expiration date will be automatically denied.  This means they might keep the filing fees, so be careful.

I am using LawLogix for my immigration software program.  I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an immigration case management program.  LawLogix has not yet uploaded the new I-821D to their system, but they assure us it will be available by June 13th.  Please double check that you are using the correct version of the I-821D before filing.
